WinXP - Zune Theme

Recently I stumbled across a Dave Donaldson's post about a new Desktop Theme based on Microsoft's new Zune player. The new theme is for Windows XP and as Dave mentions, it doesn't require any of third-party software to use it... just a quick .msi install and you're ready to roll!

Oh-So Pertty!

I downloaded, installed, and started using the Zune Style theme and I now I can't get enough of it. This theme as a lot of little extras that I've not seen in some of the other themes. For example, the top of all windows seem to have a nice sharp glare, buttons have more depth, and application tabs on the Start Bar have an extra richness. Just take a look at some of the screenshots I took.

A most excellent theme! I really like it, it's not only cool to look at, but it's also easy on the eyes at the same time.

@Braden: I totally agree with you about this theme being easy on the eyes... like I said, I love this theme!

And as a bonus, it kind of matches my blog's skin :)

I used this theme for long time , YES! its very smart theme on Web I have found long time , I had tried download other themes' on web site but they are not smarter then this (ZUNE THEME)

There better then this theme on the same site , but my xp software invalid on window software up to date home site because my Xp is copy software so zune theme site not allowance me to use different better theme , if your xp or vista is original and valid on Web you can try better one on the same site.

different one is more better and colour's are so great.

lol hey guys, if you dont wuite like the brown-grey and orange colour scheme, google "royale theme" its the windows skin that media center uses, the zune theme is just this theme with different colours

Hey you rank pretty high on Google for "Zune Theme". I just switched back to XP from Ubuntu and had the Zune theme before, it's a really nice theme. Now if only Firefox had a matching one. :P

i've just downloaded and tried this skin, it's really cool the only thing i don't like is the wallpaper that comes with it. I've change that to use my own. Hope they bring out more like this

yep, the zune theme has been around for about a year and a half. my 14 year old nephew found it one day when we were reinstallin xp pro. And I do have to say yep. best theme ever.

hey guys, i kno that this comment is kinda late, but I really love the zune theme too, except for the orange.

So i uploaded a theme that everyone here should definetely upgrade to. Its the same as the Zune Theme, except you have choic of different colours including leaf, blueberry, plum, candy, rose, and of course the original orange, so check it out at:

@Emmett: 7-Zip (http://7-zip.org) is a program which lets you extract zip, rar, tar, gz, and more archives. An installer program is nothing more than an archive with a few extra routines to simplify the process. It should be possible to use 7-Zip extract the installer as if it were a zip file, then in your display properties, browse for the .theme file.
